My iPad Air (2020) crashes while on YouTube.

This hasn't happened yet with iPadOS 15, but sometimes, when on the YouTube app, The video image would freeze and the last fraction of audio played would repeat three times. After a couple of seconds of a frozen image, a quick, glitchy image with light blue and pink rectangles displayed across the screen and then, reboot. It'd take ages to get to the home screen and then the battery level would not show up until I opened Settings. Is this common? Is there any way to prevent this?
