I need to delete multiple tags at once. Please help.

Years ago, I began tagging individual documents. I have ultimately regretted doing this. I need to delete all my tags now. Doing so, one-by-one, is arduous, tedious, and mundane. I HAVE HUNDREDS. Please help.

You can select a custom tag name that you have added in Finder Preferences > Tags, and press the delete key which will show the following dialog:

When you click Delete Tag, it will be removed from the Finder's list of tags, and from any file tagged with that Tag name. Do not remove the standard tag color names provided by the operating system.
