cannot login to macbook pro

It keeps asking me my password to enter the mac. I had not changed the password.... last time I logged in was a while ago to update it and then my daughter went in it under the guest account I created. Now I wanted to go in my account and it is refusing to let me in. I tried changing the password.. Not working either. Nothing is working at all. Help!
