Spatial Audio on M1 MacBook Pro Not Working

MacBook pro M1 2020 users are not able to enable spatial audio on supported apple music tracks using airpods pro on the macbook.

This issue has been persisting for other users for the past month or so. I have contacted apple support and they have suggested that an update to the apple music app is coming within the next day or so to fix this issue.

The specialist also advised to unpair, forget and reconnect the airpods pro to the macbook. This did not work for me. I will update on this issue.

Cannot disable spatial audio on my MacBook (AirPods Pro)? When using my AirPods Pro, spatial audio is automatically permanently activated on my MacBook. As can be seen in the first image, its box is ticked but cannot be deselected for some reason. If I try to fix it using the Bluetooth system preferences (second image), there is no 'i' for information which I'm supposed to click on according to Google. There is nothing related to spatial audio to be found under 'Options'.
