Macbook Air M1 one port not charging but works to transfer data

I recently bought the new Macbook Air with the M1 chip and noticed that on one port is not charging but still works as a usb-c. E.g. When I connect to my external usb-c monitor it displays but not charging; the other port both displays and charge. I believe this happened when I migrated data from a previous Mac.

Please can someone let me know if there is a solution for this or if it's a hardware issue?

I had the same issue. After migrating some data from external HDD's the USB-C port closest to the display stopped working. After 1 or 2 day's the second port stopped working aswel. I attended Apple and they replaced the USB-C ports but that did not fix the problem, so they replaced my whole logic board. After that the problem was solved. Everything is working fine now, but i am still anxious that the issue will come back.
