I have tried to install my Microsoft Office 2011 on my brand new iMac M1. It's there in the Applications but non-functional with a stop sign across all the associated icons. Is there a way to get this to work anyone, or do I need a whole new Microsoft Office package? Thanks
No it will not work on your new M1 mac, Office 2011 is not engineered for the M1 chip plus it has 32bit elements
and as you know since the introduction of macOS Catalina 10.15 macs no longer run 32bit applications.
You will have to buy the latest version of Office for your new mac.
