Hi, I was having the same problem with my Samsung laser printer ML-3310ND.

I tried multiple HP drivers and found that the HP Laserjet Series PCL 4/5 works for my situation.

This driver allows me to print from macOS Monterey 12.2.1 on my old Laserprinter. There is small hiccup: the printer dialogue claims there is paper jam even if there is none.

I expect HP to solve the issue with optimal drivers. If they don't, my next printer will be non-HP-printer.

Thank you @Mal-S. I have installed universal driver. The system asked for a printer driver. I didn't find it for my model but installed it for ML 2010 and it worked.

Thanks for posting, my Samsung ml 1660 series printer also wasn't listed, but after choosing the ML2010 in the model list, my printer also works now on my M1 iMac with macOS Monterey! According to any pictures I could find from the ml2010 it is almost exactly the same model as the ml1660 only the color is different.

I have a M-2020 series laser printer and it works fine on Monterey

Does the Mac see the printer after you Reset the Printing System and try to add the printer?

If it does see the printer what is listed under Kind?

I can't find what languages the printer accepts like does it accept postscript.

I'm surprised you actually managed to find one - that thing's ancient! The last supported version of MacOS (more accurately Mac OSX) was Lion (10.7), which was released 10.5 years ago. Samsung's printer division was acquired by HP in September 2016, and it promptly discontinued support for all Samsung-badged printers (most of which were obsolete by that point, anyway).

In short, you will not be able to use your printer with modern versions of MacOS, and you will need to replace it.
