SE won't let me remove apps

trying to make room on Iphone SE to accommodate lOS15 but won't let me remove apps. I have updated all the apps i want to remove.

Clarifying some terminology..

'Removing' an app does not clear up any storage space. This term means that the app will no longer be displayed on your Home Screen, but you'd still find the app in your App Library. (the app is still on your phone)

You would need to 'Delete' apps in order to free up space. Updating the apps doesn't really do much for you, but can't hurt.

  • you can delete from the App Library by locating the app and tap/hold, select Delete App
  • or you can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > [app name] > Delete
  • If you still are unable to delete, check: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps make sure that's set to 'Allow'
