Logic Pro function "Scanning Audio Units" doesn't work

Question

Logic Pro function "Scanning Audio Units" doesn't work

When I open Logic Pro it does the usual "scanning audio units" thing after I installed a new plug-in called "Double Tap" from "Submission Audio".

The problem is it never completes the scan, and if I abort the process it doesn't even abort and I have to quit Logic with the "force quit" function cause it's not responding.

I've already tried deleting the plug-in but it still scans for it, therefore doesn't start Logic.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.0

Hi Martino

I had a hard Time the last days with the same Problem. Finally I found out it was Vienna Ensemble Pro AU3 , I tried to start Garage Band and than it told me what it was, moved the app to another folder and everything was fine. So it might be a AU3 thing.

In the end I "solved" it by deleting any possible trace of the plug-in, but that still doesn't completely satisfy me cause I obviously wanna be able to use any possible plug-in.

Just to know, from which folder to which other one did you move it? And by doing that, did it recognise it while scanning new audio units?

You're on OS 12, Monterey. Maybe Double Tap won't run on that?

Even in Rosetta mode. Don't know Submission Audio, but other plugin vendors

like Slate Digital warn against upgrading to Monterey for now...
