Portrait mode camera won't load x1 mode

Portrait mode camera won't load x1 mode

If I open my camera app and swipe onto the portrait mode it by default is showing x2.

If I tap on the x2 in the bottom left corner to take it into x1, then the camera blurs and never comes back on again. The green light at the top of my phone also switches off (indicating the camera is no longer active), and if music is playing it will stop.

The x1 view works in all other camera modes, it's only the portrait mode where it doesn't work.

I've reset my phone but still no luck.
