Screen increases in size unexpectedly while using Safari.

While using Safari the screen often increases in size so much it is unreadable. It does this while scrolling with the wireless mouse and I have to close and reopen in order to read.

hawghead,

Go to System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click tab. Check to see if Smart Zoom is enabled. These preferences will appear only if you're using a wireless mouse. Make sure your Mac is running the latest software update in Apple menu () > About This Mac > Overview. Change Mouse preferences on Mac

Restart your Mac in safe mode and use your mouse while in Safari. This will limit the login items allowed to run while running a health check on your startup disk. Restart your Mac to your normal user.

How to use safe mode on your Mac

Regards.

Hi hawghead,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that your screen is increasing in size while scrolling on your wireless mouse. It sounds like you may have Zoom enabled in your Accessibility preferences. With this enabled, you're able to use a scroll gesture to zoom in and out. Check for this feature in Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility , then click Zoom.

Read more about Zoom preferences in Change Zoom preferences for accessibility on Mac.

Regards.
