I am having the same issue since updating to iOS 15.1 the email on my mail app used on my iPhone 12 is taking forever to download. I send test emails and they take 10 mins to hit my box and another 5 mins to open. I have deleted the email account and added it again twice as well as deleted my internet history and it is still frustratingly slow. Please help ! I want access to my email on my phone the way it was before - instant!

We understand since updating, Mail is performing slower than you'd expect.
The time it takes for email messages to be received is dependent on a number of factors, including internet connection and speed, and incoming and outgoing servers.

I have the exact same problem. Absolutely no problem at 8am, then completely slow and unusable after the update 15 mins later. Tried almost everything so far today that anyone recommends, but this MUST be an issue with the IOS update. Please can you fix this asap!!
If it was those things why would it not have been slow before the update?
my email before the update ALWAYS downloaded instantly on wifi or on 5G even in ****** shared wifi situation it was faster than it is now.
