Arteck Bluetooth keyboard doesn’t work properly in Safari after ios15 instal

Hi all. Since installing ios15 my Arteck bluetooth keyboard, when I hit the space bar when trying to do a search in Safari, instead of inserting a space, it now activates the Safari sidebar instead and I am no longer able to complete my search. Obviously this defeats having an independent keyboard so if anyone knows how to solve this problem I would be very grateful to know how. Thanks so much in advance for any solutions to this frustrating problem!
