MacBook Air Mols Smell

I recently purchased a brand new Mac Book Air, I got it home opened it up and it smelled like Mold. I watched a video online of a gentleman saying this happened to him twice and it was the charging cord it in the box. I went back to the store and exchanged it, got home and the second one wasn’t too bad however somewhat of the same smell. Anyone else? For the price you pay this shouldn’t happen.

Stinky Macbook pro Ugh I got my new MacBook Pro today and it reeked and smells like mildew. It's awful. I wiped down the machine and it seems better but the cord still stinks even after wiping it down. This order was for brand new from Apple and really for the price I don't think something so yucky should arrive. I hope it airs out but has anyone else heard of this?

mold I bought the MacBook Air from Costco and first the box smelled bad of mold so I opened it and the whole computer smells like mold. Is there anything I can use to get rid of the smell as I am allergic to mold and I don't want to have to take it back to Costco as it is not very close to me.

Mold Smell: Brand New MacBook Pro I just got a brand new MacBook Pro in the mail —directly from Apple. The inner box that was sealed with plastic smelled very powerfully of mold when I opened it. The outer brown box that it was shipped in didn't smell of mold, nor was it wet. The computer itself also smells of mold, even though I have had it sitting out overnight. I didn't see any desiccant pack in the inner box, which is presumably why it got moldy. I didn't see visible mold but the smell knocks one over. I have not migrated anything to it, because I figured I'd be sending it back, in that this is not what I expect from a brand new MacBook Pro from Apple. I live near an Apple Store and am considering returning it there. Thoughts?
