How do I override Activation Lock when I know Apple ID. But can’t get password accepted

My older iPad has Activation Lock placed on it. I know my Apple ID but cannot find password. This is asking for password used to set up iCloud which is unknown.

It sounds like you're unable to remove Activation Lock on your iPad due to a forgotten password. We can understand wanting to look into that further. We want to help.


In order to remove Activation Lock, you would need to use the original Apple ID and password that was used to set up the device. If you've forgotten the password, you can follow the steps here to attempt to reset it: If you forgot your Apple ID password
