cinematic editor greyed out

I filmed in cinematic mode iphone 13pro

"Processed" the file on iphone, airdropped to imac an imported to fcp.

But cinematic editor stay's grayed out.

Tried a lot of options, tried to find a solution, but did find none what helped me.


i'm on Monterey 12.0.1 on imac M1

FCP 10.6.1


Anyone a suggestion what im doing wrong.

Two possible problems. When you share from the phone with Airdrop you need to make sure you tap Options to transfer the sidebar file along with the video. The second is that you have to have the clip selected in the project to access the Cinematic editor.
