Air print blue tooth reception

When trying to AirPrint from iPhone to canon mx492, the Bluetooth rarely picks up the printer. Is that due to poor cellular reception, as we don’t have WiFi or a router.

AirPrint uses Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth.
