Haptic feedback on keyboard not working. Keypad clicks are hardly audible.

Let me start by saying I’ve already tried toggling the haptic feedback option and restarting my phone. I’ve tried downloading GBoard too and enabling haptic feedback on keypress. Nothing works.

I can let that go if I can at least increase the volume of the keypad clicks, but even at the highest ringer volume, the clicks are barely audible. I don’t want to set the ringer to the highest volume because the notification sounds are way too loud.

I can’t find a way to get any kind of feedback when I’m typing and it’s incredibly distressing. Please help.

How do I enable haptic feedback and increase keypad click volume (without increasing volume of other notification/system sounds)?
