Hi all,
In GarageBand when I try and open the Techno genre in Apple loops it won’t let me as it is greyed out.
All the other ones like house, deep house etc will let me open them and use loops.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ps it’s a MacBook Air m1 2020 running latest version of GarageBand

You haven’t mentioned any troubleshooting steps you may have tried, and we don’t want to ask you to repeat any steps. Have you tried any troubleshooting on your own?
If you haven’t already, there is a step found in the GarageBand User Guide, section “Reindex the Apple Loops user library” you will want to give a try.

Are you seeing download arrows to the right of the grey loops? Then click them.
On my Mac most of the techno Loops are not showing a download button like the other loops. Only one of them could be downloaded again from the AppStore - perhaps they are currently not available.

If you are still unable to select from the genre Techno and you have reindexed Apple loops, then we recommend reaching out to Apple Support by going to Get Support.

I have also downloaded all available sounds in sound library preferences still to no avail .
