Apple Watch SE Asking for Password

my apple watch SE keeps asking me to sign into icloud using my apple ID and Password. The correct apple id is displayed but when I go to enter the password it is only a touch screen no keyboard (obviously because it s watch). My password has both letters and numbers and I can seem to get them correctly written on the touch screen - at least I think that is what the issue is. Keeps telling me id or password is invalid. The ID is not nor is the password if I could type it.

If I had to guess I'd say it started happening after one of the last updates on the watch or my 12pro phone.

Ideas?
