Clear Apple ID password message on watch

My Apple Watch keeps asking for my Apple ID password, but won’t accept what I enter. If I select the keyboard for entry to input the password, it says complete on your mobile device…but nothing comes up..??? Please help! I can’t get it to clear!

The correct apple id is displayed but when I go to enter the password it is only a touch screen no keyboard (obviously because it s watch). My password has both letters and numbers and I can seem to get them correctly written on the touch screen - at least I think that is what the issue is. Keeps telling me id or password is invalid. The ID is not nor is the password if I could type it. If I had to guess I'd say it started happening after one of the last updates on the watch or my 12pro phone. Ideas?

How do you type in a password on Apple Watch 4? My Apple Watch keeps asking for my Apple ID password. There is no place to type in the password on the watch and when I tap on the keyboard it takes me to my iPhone and gives me a place to type in, but the password starts showing all the password letters and numbers instead of dots. I don't understand what I am supposed to do. Thanks for answering this question. Silverfox

I can’t type my Apple ID password on my watch because it won’t recognize numbers or symbols I can’t pair my Apple Watch because it requires that I put in my Apple ID password. My password has numerals and symbols which I can’t type on the scribble screen on my watch.

Sign out on your phone then sign in again.
