Airpods Pro

My airpods pro only works if it is plugged in to a power source, and as soon as it is disconnected it just turns off, like a tv would, and when it is plugged in, the pop ups that shows your battery percentage keeps on spamming my screen until I disconnect then from the power source, I’ve tried resetting and cleaning and nothing worked what should i do?

"Airpods Pro: hey thanks but none of this worked, the case only works if it is plugged in, and I noticed that the case stays charged but the AirPods don’t, when it is not plugged in, the case is not being able to stay on while not plugged in so it won’t charge or connect to my phone if it isn’t on"

You are welcome.

Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?:

How old is this pair? If this is covered under warranty, then maybe you can get it serviced free of charge, being it is found to be a faulty device. You have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited-wattanty with this too. So, if any of that applies, and if found to be a faulty device, then it might be free-of-charge. In all, that would be Apple's call.

***Info on Contacting Apple:

Proceed from there as Necessary

  • NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, calls are taking a bit longer to get through. And, that makes sense, because many are at home working out-of-the-house or are taking classes over-the-web, this they have more time on their hands to contact Apple Support. So, it might take a bit to get through to Apple Support. But, just stay on the line, and someone will be with you :)

Troubleshooting AirPods Power:

A. A Few Links to Visit:

B. Try the Following Tasks:

  • Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.

  • Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)

  • Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.
