Sign in on new Sony Bravia tv doesn’t connect

I was finally able to sign into my Apple Tv+ account.

I had read that for some once they used Airplay the TV would then let them sign into their Apple TV+ account. I couldn't get Airplay to let join the TV either when I had read that. It would give the 4 digit code but once I entered it on the iPhone it would act as if it wasn't correct and ask again. Yesterday, I went into the Privacy Policy and UNCHECKED "Sony Smart TV service", the others were already unchecked and saved the settings. I then tried to connect Airplay and a message came up to sign into "Sony Smart TV service" so I did and then I was able to connect using Airplay. I then, like the others, was able to sign into my Apple TV+ account.

Now that is done I still have the issue of the TV turning on by itself. HDMI auto on is OFF, there is no Timer set, there is no remote IP turn on there is no reason this thing should be turning on by itself. I have ready on Reddit that many have this issue with their Sony TVs and it's been on going for awhile now. I sure hope they fix it soon or there is a class action lawsuit in the works.

Attempting to sign in or create an AppleID would through a “verification failed” error or spinning wheel.

fixed it by casting an AppleTV movie from my phone to the TV. This triggered the Bravia user agreement for AppleTV, which once agreed to, everything else worked.

I have a new Sony Bravia A80J and wanted to try Apple TV+ using the app. The TV is fully updated to the latest version, the app is updated, and the TV Privacy Policy "Sony Smart TV service" is checked. All I get when trying to sign in is the spinning icon. I have cleared the cache of the app. I have removed the app and reinstalled it. Still just a sinning icon.

On my other older LG using Ruko added the app and signed in just a few minutes.

I’m having the same issue. I can open the app but if I try to play a free episode or sign in I get a spinning icon. I’ve cleared data several times and updated software. Other services are working fine.

I also noticed that I can not connect using AirPlay. I link with the TV and a code is shown on the screen but once entered on the phone it will not connect. The phone just keeps wanting me to re-enter the code.
