alarm sounds much louder than ringtone

On my iPhone 13 Pro, the sound from the alarm clock is much louder than the ringtone.

Even if I choose the same tone for the alarm as for the ringtone.

Is there a way to lower the alarm volume without lowering the ringtone volume?

Thank you!

iPhone 13 Pro

Hello tijlv,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that alarms appear louder than ringtones, and we're here to help.

As it turns out, there isn't a separate setting to adjust the alarm volume. However, to isolate this issue further, we suggest considering whether Attention Aware Features is enabled and causing the ringtone to appear quieter than your alarm. To check if this feature is on, tap on Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Attention Aware Features.

Change Face ID and attention settings on iPhone

If you discover that Attention Aware Features is causing the ringtone to appear quieter than the alarm, then we recommend either turning off Attention Aware Features or adjusting your system sounds. The Apple Support article below explains how to adjust sound settings:

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem

I just bought an iPhone 13 pro and the volume of the alarms makes me jump every time

While the ringer volume is set so low that I can barely hear the phone ringing.

I did disable the Face ID attention settings but that doesn't fix the problem.

I didn't have this concern on my iPhone 6S and I absolutely need the alarms in my business.
