iPhone 12 mini- error on battery authenticity

My iPhone 12 mini purchased in july 2021is displaying a message regarding the authititcy of the battery saying it is “unable to verify”. The phone was purchased brand new through at&ts website and has had no service preformed at all. This error message began shortly after 15.1 update. The phone is currently on 15.1.1 system.

why would this error message appear?

Hello, I'm using iPhone XS max and I'm facing an issue right after the update from IOS 14. after updating to IOS 14 my iPhone was quite normal and the performance was a bit slow but then later it started to reboot and display a warning message in setting as "unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine battery". Bear in mind, I have never replaced the battery or even opened the phone up.

The battery may be defective. Contact Apple to have it checked out, which they can do remotely. Click on Get Support at the top of this page.
