iPhone speakerphone option cutting out while talking

Is there any update to fix the speaker phone option cutting out while t talk for the recipient. I always use my speakerphone when on the phone. I hear fine but the person at the other end gets ever other word. This just doesn’t work. Never had this problem with any other phone. Only resolution is to go back to my old phone
