airdrop stops on 'waiting'

Trying to airdrop photos from iPhone 13P to MBP-M1Pro, both running latest OS. iPhone sees MBP. Choose MBP as destination, and it sits saying "waiting" but nothing ever happens. Bluetooth on both set to 'everyone'. Logged in to Apple with same ID on both.

Airdrop not connecting with iPhone X Hi My newer MBP is in the shop. I'm trying to use Airdrop to transfer files from my old 2010 MBP (running Yosemite 10.10.5) to my iPhone X (2017). I've connected both via Bluetooth which makes it strange the MBP seems oblivious to the iPhone when i try to send some pics to it, just putting up a message, "To share with someone using a mac, ask them to go to Airdrop in the Finder." Any ideas? Or is there an alternative to pass images? Neither Photos nor Image Capture are functional either, btw. best elmer

AirDrop from iPhone 13 to macbook pro not working Hello, I can airdrop a photo from my macbook pro to my iphone 13, but I can't airdrop a photo from iphone 13 to macbook pro. Wifi and bluetooth are turned on at both devices. The iPhone 13 only shows one contact when I select AirDrop. Restarting both devices did not help. iOS 16.5, macOS Monterey 12.6.6. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time, Fredymac

good question! yes, MBP to iPhone worked instantly. rebooted MBP and now it [airdrop from phone to laptop] works. didn't see anything obvious glancing at Console logs.

Can you AirDrop from Mac to iPhone?

Try powering off and then back on your router.

Restart both devices.

The console logs rarely provides useful information. They are meant for developers.
