I didn’t notice the upgrade available for iOS 15. I have a 6S plus iPhone I got a notice for the 15.1 update but I have a feeling I needed to upgrade to 15 that was available and I just ignored it now I don’t have access to it how do I get to it?

I have an iPhone 6s Plus. Recently I saw that I had downloaded the option to upgrade to iOS 15 I didn’t do it. I just got a notice today for an update for the 15.1 it won’t let me install it I assume I needed to upgrade to 15 how do I get access to that again?
