Always-On VPN on macOS?

Hey guys,

Is it possible to have always-on VPN connections natively on macOS without using a 3rd party provider such as NordVPN?

We currently use an L2TP VPN profile but outside of being able to write a script there seems no way to configure these connections to be always-on.

95% of our employees are still working remotely and being able to enforce the VPN connection would be great.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!

It is not clear what the issue is. If your company's network requires a remote VPN connection you configure that on the VPN server side. Are the remote users using company computers remotely or are they using their own computers? If they are using their own computers why would they let you control their computer setup and configuration? If these are company owned computers, look into mdm to configure them remotely and prevent the users from configuring them.
