Cache Issues with Macbook Air

I use various web tools for my work but i am constantly coming up against the same issue - dropdown's not working, web buttons unclickable etc

I have to clear my browser cache several times a day and i'm losing a lot of time to this

N.B this is when i am using Chrome and Safari

It's clearly a local issue - as its not specific to one web application. But I am at a loss for what to do - can anyone help?

TIA

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

First, when using Safari if you already haven't done it, in the "advanced" section of Safari Preferences, enable the Develop menu. It is invaluable in debugging web designs especially using the "WebInspector" and especially when web design involves javascript.

Also, if I remember correctly, Option+Command+R will force reload a page from the origin, bypassing cache.
