Since iOS 15.1 update, can’t connect to car via usb

As the title says, my phone is unable to connect to my car, a 2013 Chevy Cruze, via usb. It used to be that I would just plug my phone into my car and it would automatically detect to and switch to the audio from my phone. This is no longer the case. My phone is still being charged by the car, but it is not being detected.

I have restarted my phone multiple times, restarted my car multiple times, tried new usb cables and am running out of ideas and patience. Being able to listen to music in my car is one of the better things in my day, having that taken from me is not something I want.
