Problems with - ReCaptcha, YouTube Uploading, Gmail Sync

Hi!

I've recently tried to sign in to my epidemicsound.com account and a problem with ReCaptcha popped up. Then, I tried to upload a video to YouTube and it was stuck at 0% for days. When trying to sign in to my gmail account on youtube, a "connection failed, cannot sync (-202)" problem keeps popping up.

I tried:

-updating chrome

-erasing cache, cookies, browsing data

-switching to a different wifi

-disabling VPN/Proxy

-changing bypass proxy settings

-switching from chrome to safari, but that didn't help either, which is why I decided to ask on Apple instead of Chrome support

yet the same problems are still occurring.

Currently, I use my MacBook Air 2020.

When I used my MacBook Air 2013 to upload my video to YouTube or access EpidemicSound, no issues like these occurred.

If anyone knows how to figure this out before ultimately taking a trip to the Apple Store, I would appreciate it a lot! Thank you.

Hey jjbartula,

It appears that you're having a few issues with your 2020 MacBook Air. You receive an error message when trying to sign into a site you frequent, you can't upload videos to your YouTube channel, and you’re unable to sign into your Gmail account all while using Google Chrome. Same issues also happen when using Safari as well, and we're glad to provide assistance.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support -- Restart your Mac in safe mode and test the above issues with both Safari and Chrome. Whether or not the issues occur, restart your Mac normally to exit safe mode. Also, please be aware: "When you start up in safe mode, your Mac prevents some software, such as startup items, from loading, and it performs a check of your startup disk. Your Mac may take longer to start up because of the check."

New user or group setup - Apple Support -- If you experienced any of the issues above in safe mode, create a new Administrator account, and test in both Safari and Chrome again. You'll need to log out of your own user account and log into the new one in order to test.

After testing, please reply to this post and let us know how it turned out with both Safari and Google Chrome.

All the best.
