Unable to make or answer Facetime Audio calls when away from my iPhone 12 Pro Max
I have a Apple Watch 7 45mm Nike Edition GPS/Cellular through AT&T. This is my first Apple Smartwatch.
When I'm away from my iPhone (out of bluetooth/wifi range), I don't receive Facetime calls. I am shown the missed Facetime calls when I eventually get back to my phone. I can go through the notions of placing a Facetime audio call, and it acts like its waiting for the other person to pickup, but they never get the call at all on their end.
When away from my iPhone, I do receive iMessage texts, normal phone calls, notifications, and can access the internet without issue. This is when using Cellular or WIFI.
My iMessage is registered to my phone number and Apple ID, as goes for my Facetime also. I have tried to unregister and register my phone number/Apple ID, and to turn off/on iMessage/Facetime. I do get a message then "Your Apple ID and Phone number are now being used for Facetime on a new Apple Watch". This doesnt fix my problem. I turned my iPhone off and tried my Watch on wifi and still cant receive Facetime Audio calls, and making the Facetime Audio calls isnt received on their end. Just trying different scenarios but no luck.
I talked to Apple Support and they recommended Unpairing and Pairing the watch. I did this and it was a pain since I lost all my Apple Pay registered cards, etc. The problem persists after pairing again.
Any ideas? I love the ability to leave my phone behind, but not at the cost of never receiving multiple Facetime calls or even trying to place one of those calls.
Thank you!
