Slideshow transitions jerky after export

I created a slideshow to music using Photos on my MacBook Pro (running Monterey 12.0.1) - 57 photos total using the Classic theme. It works great in Photos, but after export to m4v at 1280 x 720, some of the transitions are very jerky and it ruins the smooth effect. How can I fix this? Plain English and patience, please - my knowledge of this stuff is rather limited. Thanks!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0

Hi JeanAnn7648,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with a slideshow after exporting it from Photos. We'd like to help.

When you export the video, which device are you playing it on? Are the transitions jerky regardless of where it's played? Are these the steps you followed to export the video? Export photos, videos, and slideshows from Photos on Mac

What happens if you change the definition of the video? Does that play better? It's possible that the definition is higher than the device you're viewing it on so we want to make sure that's not the case.

Let us know how that goes.

Take care!
