icloud passwords extension does not work anymore

Since a while ago the Icloud password extension for google chrome and microsoft edge does not functione anymore. When clicking the extension I get this empty window to see in Edge as well in Google chrome:

I know there are some issues currently with chrome web store extensions:

Could this be the reason why the password extension is'nt working anymore?

iCloud Chrome Keychain Extension Bug - "You previously indicated to never save passwords for this website" When using iCloud Keychain extension on Apple websites it says: "You previously indicated to never save passwords for this website." "To change this, remove the entry for this website from your iCloud Keychain and re-login to this website." iCloud passwords Edge extension not working The icloud passwords extension for Edge browser has recently stopped working. iCloud for Windows 13.0 installed successfully. Using the extension, it is just blank with the icloud logo. I have tried everything, multiple reboots, uninstalling and reinstalling both the extension and iCloud for windows application, signing out and in, nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.
