Document & Sync cellular data high usage

Since 2 months ago I noticed that the cellular data usage increased tremendously. I reset the statistics and discovered that Document & Sync has used 3.3 Gb in 10 days. I can’t turn this future off from the Cellular menu.

Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround to stop this behaviour?

When you are at home, make sure your Wi-Fi network works properly and turn off Mobile Data.

Mobile Data is used if you don't have Wi-Fi outside the house for synchronizing iCloud, e-mail, message etc.

Are you out of the house and want to use Wi-Fi see this Apple article: Use captive Wi-Fi networks on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

You can also check which app use Mobile Data, go to Settings -> tap Mobile network ->  scroll down to apps -> turn off per app.

You always need Wi-Fi or Mobile Data. if you're not on Wi-Fi, it will use mobile data.
