How do I check my iPhone for software errors? My OCD is pretty out of control, excuse me if anything I ask sounds needless. Anyway, I was wondering if iOS had something similar to the sfc /scannow command on Windows? AKA the prompt that does a complete system scan for errors and tries to fix them automatically. It never occurred to me that months after using the iOS 14 Beta there may have been leftover affected/potentially corrupt files I’ve been unaware of this whole time. My phone’s performance has been mostly normal (currently running on 14.4.1), but the possibility of there being an underlying problem bugs me. If such a command doesn’t exist, I’d like to know if there’s anything diagnostic related I could run or install to ensure everything is okay. Thanks!

Corrupted update (15.4.1) software preventing iPhone XR restore Hello: Halfway through restore of iPhone XR (MacBook Pro, Catalina), a yellow/white triangle popped up, stated: “The software for the iPhone “iPhone” was corrupted during download. Disconnect and reconnect, then try again. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.” (BTW, both iPhone and my Mac were up-to-date prior to restore attempt, and I'd backed up iPhone and turned off Find My.) I followed the instructions: disconnected, reconnected, etc., and on second attempt the same window popped up, again, this time 1/4 way through restore. So, I went into iPhone settings > General > Storage > Update, found the update and tried to delete it... it won't delete. Q: How do I delete a corrupted software update on my iPhone XR that won't delete when I press "Delete", so that I may, finally, restore my device to factory? Your sage advice and wisdom on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

That's technical information for use in problem analysis by Apple Engineering and others who know what data is logged in those files.

As an ordinary user you can safely ignore those files and their content unless specifically asked by Apple Engineering to upload something there to them.

There is nothing wrong with your phone and we mere mortals cannot decipher those files, nor do we need to.
