Phone screen fades when dropped

I recently closed my car door on my iPhone 7 and had the digitizer replaced because of it. Nothing significant has happened in the 2 days since I got it back and now whenever I drop my phone, even from an inch off the ground, the screen fades and glitches, however I can turn it back on no problem with all back to normal. Any ideas what could be causing this?
