Highlighting filenames and extensions when saving from Adobe Photoshop
When using Adobe Photoshop (assume the latest versions and seemingly after the introduction of Catalina), when saving a file 'save for web', the filename ONLY used to be highlighted in the save dialogue box.
That meant that with one tap of the <right-arrow> key, the cursor was now at the end of your existing filename and before any file extension, '.jpg' for example and you could append the filename (with '01', '02', '03', etc)
The means that if saving out numerous images or versions from one file you could 'save for web' , then tap the <right arrow> key and type '01' (or, 02, 03, 04... for example) and hit <return> quickly enabling you to quickly save out multiple versions from the one file.
Now when you 'save for web' the entire filename AND extension is highlighted...
You have to either type in the full name again, or tap <right arrow> once to put the cursor at the end of the filename AND extension, then <left arrow> 4 times to bring the cursor back to the end of your existing filename to append it.
It might not sound like a big issue, but when potentially saving out dozens of iterations of the same file, the old scenario was a real time-saver.
I've asked about this on the Adobe Community Forums, but it seems there is not yet an answer, but some suggesting it's more to do with Apple's file saving system that Adobe's Software?
