Clicked a malware / virus link / .zip file

My employers email system (windows outlook) apparently been infected by a virus or malware. This caused me to receive a response from a manager to an email I sent last week regarding payslip.

The email just said something like “I think you need to view this urgently”, I was worried something was wrong with my payslip so I clicked the link in the email expecting it to be my payslip, the link opened up in chrome browser and had some sort of 404 page, I immediately realised what I had done and closed the tab so didn’t see anything else it said on there.

On further inspection the URL ended in .zip . I have checked my downloads and I can’t see any .zip files or indeed any new downloads. Nothing popped up prompting me to open it install anything or save it to my computer.

I also deleted all the cookies and web history from chrome and safari for the last 7 days. I have also been through my apps and can’t see any app I don’t recognise on my devise.

Is there any chance this virus, malware, spam link / .zip page could have done anything to my phone? I use my phone for banking and other financial activities and am a bit paranoid. I don’t have a recent back up on iCloud to restore either, my last back up was January! So dont want to do a factory reset if I can avoid it. What else can I do? What should I look for?

kind regards
