If this is really the CanoScan 9000F Mark II scanner, then the optional, paid, VueScan Professional scanning software supports this scanner on macOS without any Canon or Apple application/driver support. There is a free downloadable trial.

In 2010, I had an old Canon flatbed scanner that they had dropped support, and I purchased VueScan Professional to support it. That scanner with the current VueScan software works on macOS Monterey 12.0.1. In the ensuing eleven years, I have never had this scanner fail to work on any release of macOS and have never paid any update/upgrade fee to the VueScan vendor. I receive nothing in return for mentioning the product here.

For those needing a USB-A to USB-C connector for newer Apple products, Apple provides one here.
