Ringer volume resets to High

Whenever I have my bluetooth headphones connected to my iPhone XS (iOS 15.1), the ringer volume is really loud regardless of my current volume/ringer settings. I have disabled the Ringers and Alerts -> Change with Buttons option and adjusted the slider all the way down yet it still gets reset to full volume.

I have not yet fully tested this experience without headphones to confirm this isn't related.

Hi, teufelhunden78, and thanks for reaching out. We see that you're having issues with the volume of your connected Bluetooth headphones. We'll be glad to assist.

If you're using AirPods with your iPhone, the article below can help with adjusting the volume.

Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro

You can also adjust the volume on your iPhone before connecting the headphones.

Adjust the volume on iPhone

One other thing to mention; if you're using 3rd party Bluetooth headphones, it is possible for Bluetooth devices to control certain aspects of your iPhone (such as volume level, playback controls, etc). If the headphones themselves are sending a signal to the iPhone to put the volume at its maximum; that's something you'd need to reach out to the manufacturer of the headphones to look into with you.

Hope this helps.

Have a great day!
