Netflix audio problems on Apple TV 4K

When watching Netflix on Apple TV 4K only, every ten-15 minutes, the audio drops out for five seconds or so. What can I do?

In almost all circumstances that we see this type of issue, the problem is normally with either the users network or the HDMI cable they are using. First please ensure you are using a 4K rated HDMI cable and that it is securely connected to both the TV and Apple TV. If that does not solve the issue then please start troubleshoorting the network by doing the following.


  1. Unplug your modem from its power source and Restart Modem.
  2. Unplug your router from its power source and Restart router.
  3. Unplug Apple TV from Power for 2-3 minutes – re-plug in and retest. 


If your problem persists then it may be that your network is not robust enough to handle the amount of devices connected to it. In that case we can advise further.
