FTP won't work on Monterey

I am unable to use several of the ftp apps on my Mac Book Air with High Sierra, the port number 22 is rejected and nothing else seems to work I recently installed High Sierra OS on my MacBook Air. Now, the ftp protocol does not function. I have tried several of the available file transfer app's with no success. They fail because Port 22 does is not allowed. One has to use a port number greater than 1024 and there is no glue as to what number will work. Any ideas?

Monterey upgrades and Internet Connection My new M1Max Pro came with Monterey 12.2.1 pre installed, yet now unable to install later versions due to "Unsecure Internet Connection" Never had that problem with the 2016 Macbook Air . Also video Exports just stall / abort at 82% completion - never before encountered that with the Macbook Air. Any similar experiences with Monterey OS?

Local firewall blocking FTP - unable to upload dreamweaver files via ftp A few weeks ago I was able to access my remote server and upload files. I'm no longer able to do so. I get a message: Cannot make connection to host. Not authorised to make the connection due to local firewall blocking FTP data. I have contacted my service provider and they say that everything is fine their end so it appears to be an issue with my Mac which is using Catalina v10.15.2

Not much information to go on there.

How about providing a bit more detail, like:

Where is this server located?
How are you trying to access it with FTP? That is what app are you using to do so?
Are you seeing any error messages?
We are assuming that your Mac is running macOS Monterey ... correct?
Which exact model is your Mac?
What have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this?
