Whenever I try to play any video on Safari or Chrome it just shows a blank black screen, even if I play the video in full screen it would do the same thing, I could hear the audio but cant see anything. This issue doesn’t happen if I play videos apps such as Netflix or YouTube, videos work perfectly on those applications. How could I possibly fix this issue.

Thanks for the update. Is this happening when using cellular data or Wi-Fi? If happening on Wi-Fi, does it happen using a different network? If you are using a VPN, disable or delete it for the time being.

You need to use non AMP versions of the websites you want to use. Apps like safari n google are automatically going to direct you to AMP version so you’ll need alternative browser apps, I recommend “private browser”. It will have a picture of a purple fingerprint. Problem solved

Thanks I tried the help via the link you sent and it didn’t solve the problem. Please note I have already tried resetting all my internet browsing data and my iPhone and safari and chrome have the latest updates. Hopefully you have some more suggestions.
Just had this same problem and disabling that setting solved it. Restarted just for good measure to make sure it took the setting change (just restarting the app and the phone had no effect before). Thank you.
Even I have faced this very issue in both my Mac and iPhone. I even restored my iPhone for quite a few times to get rectified with this error but I don't know what was causing it. After exploring my options, I finally found this article pretty much helpful.

It happens all the time. It happens when using wifi it happens when using cellular data. I do not use a VPN.
