iPad warranty says expired and purchase date 1985

My iPad Pro 11 that I purchased from apple says that the warranty is expired even though I purchased apple care+ at the same time. I have proof of coverage and my sales receipt. When I was attempting to see if I could fix the problem I noticed that the purchase date says January 1, 1985 which obviously is impossible. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do I solve it?
