Hi, when I try to get files by airdrop my phone told that I have not enough memory, but I have free 175 Gb from 256. Why it’s happening and what should I do?

Do you mean "Storage Space"? If so, refer to the following....

Clear Internal Space:

Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:

Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support

So, what to do:

Connect to your Computer, and perform the following:

Clear Space:

Try clearing internal storage though use of the following:

What Space to Clear:

A. Clear Temporary Internet Files:

Clear your Temporary Internet Files(Cookies & Cache) of Safari:

B. Clean TV and Music Libraries:

Remove all unneeded files from your TV and Music Libraries. Full-Movies take up 2-4GB typically, and a bunch of those would take up a load of storage, ideally. So, if you have any movies that are not needed, then delete them.

C. Clear "Other":

Clear the storage named "Other". It basically contains unnecessary files such as caches that are used for system ease of use - all of which gather over time: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tips. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use. So, clearing other may be the way to go about this, as it would be performed through use of a computer.

Hi Kisa13,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! From our understanding, when you attempt to accept a file via AirDrop you get an error that you do not have enough storage even though you have 175GB available, is that right? We didn't see one tagged in your post, what version of the iOS is this happening on? Be sure your device is running the latest. Does this happen with multiple files or a specific file?

You can try restarting your iPhone, if you haven't already: Restart your iPhone.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the screenshot.

Update to the Most Recent Release:***

iOS15.2 has been released. I reads it had bug fixes. So, backup your iPhone and then install it.

***Back Up First:

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update
