Double Notifications & Old messages (FB Messenger).

Good Afternoon all,

I'm wondering if anybody could help me, I recently went from android to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, It has been great so far but in the last day or so I have been receiving double notifications (so the same notification twice in quick succession) plus it has been notifying me of messages that had been received from previously (Notifying me of a message that I read 20 mins ago). I'm not sure if this is an IOS issue or an issue with messenger. Any help at all would be brilliant!
