Missing user and files from upgrade to MacOS Monterey
I used to have 2 users set up on my Mac; I upgraded to macOS Monterey, and now the other user and their files have disappeared. Where are they, or how can I recover them?

There are several directories of mine that were simply not copied at all during the migration process.
I have migrated many times from different machines and old macOSes, this is the first time the migration is so painful. And there's not even a clear log of what was done, and not done.
I'm very disappointed. Not to mention this stupidly thick and heavy Mac Book Pro with useless ports I don't care about, but with only one USB-C plug on the right hand side, so I can't have power and ethernet coming from the right. I dearly regret my previous Mac Book Pro.
You have searched for them via Finder, right?
Have you tried restoring them from your time Machine backup using Migration Assistant?
