Swipe between full-screen apps animation is slower on M1 Pro

I've recently changed from MacBook Pro with M1 (2020) to MacBook Pro with M1 Pro (2021) and noticed that the animation when swiping between full-screen apps (windows/dashboards) takes longer than on the previous Mac. As a result the app on the arriving screen gets focused later which makes working slower. Both devices are on the same MacOS 12.0.1.

Has any of you experienced this? Is there any solution to reduce the animation time?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

To get started, has this issue always occurred on your new MacBook? Does this occur when trying to switch between all apps, or does this only occur with particular apps?

Safe mode can help with determining if an issue is caused by software that loads as your Mac starts up.

Hi Chris,

I think I found the cause of the problem, it is related to ProMotion.

If you go to System Preferences, Displays and change the Refresh Rate from ProMotion to like 60 Hertz, then the animation between apps/screens are as fast as they were on the old Mac.

Would it be possible to have the same fast speed with ProMotion? Just because ProMotion is so cool BTW. I understand that the user should see how smooth is the animation, but it's not the best experience after a while.
